This piece of eraser carving depicts the scene in which the veteran, Keith Lang, is talking to the class about his experience in the war. This design, originally a drawing, was created by the artist and transferred onto a piece of eraser, which was carefully sculpted by the artist to present the original drawing when stamped. I truly loved having the veteran visiting the class. Not only did he tell us about his experience in the war, he also brought our attention to why the poppy is the symbol for remembrance and the usage of transit tools in between the battles. Energetic and full of wisdom earned through years of experience, Mr. Keith Lang surely sparked our interest in the history of wars and how to prevent them.
