Born on the north shore of Boston, Massachusetts and raised in seacoast New Hampshire, Keith Dow enlisted in the United States Army at 21 years old as a 31B (Military Police) completing combat and law enforcement assignments in Washington, Iraq and Italy. After fulfilling 5 years of active duty, he separated honorably from the Army as a Sergeant. Keith moved to Ontario to marry his wife, Nicole. They currently reside in the North Simcoe area with their two children.

Keith used his veterans education benefits to complete his undergraduate degree, graduating from the Bachelor of Human Services program at Georgian College with honors. He continues to pursue education that will better help him to serve his community in his graduate studies in the Master of Social Work program at the University of New England.

In 2017 after contributing written pieces to various publications, Keith and his friend, Tyler Carroll founded Dead Reckoning Collective, a veteran owned and operated publishing company focused on giving veteran authors/poets a venue for their literary efforts and encouraging veterans to use reading and writing as a healthy outlet.
