Canadian Armed Forces, Community Service

I joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2012 as a Combat Engineer, at the age of 16. My job in the Army mostly involves construction, demolition, and clearing away explosive hazards. I have spent the most recent years of my career as an instructor teaching on courses such as Combat Engineering, Domestic Operations, Explosive Threat Hazard Awareness and Recognition, Basic Military Qualification, Soldier Qualification, Primary Leadership Qualification, and the Army Junior Leader Course. It has been very rewarding to see a diverse group of Canadians develop the skills they will need to make the world a safer place.

I am currently working at 36 Combat Engineering Regiment as a Section Commander, and with the Canadian Coast Guard as a Material Identification Officer. I hold a Bachelor of Management, Major in Leadership and Organizations. I am in the process of commissioning to become a Logistics Officer in the Canadian Forces, and hope to be deployed to Africa or the Middle East to help those affected by conflict.

The Memory Project includes a community of over 1,500 veterans and Canadian Forces members who are committed to sharing their stories of service.
