Vicky Grabb is a proud Canadian. In 2002, to celebrate her 50th birthday, she travelled around many of the important sites of the world wars in France, including Beaumont Hamel, Vimy, Dieppe, and Juno beach. Many of the D-Day locations are best known to us, through books and movies, by their code names. Trying to orient herself on the west coast of Normandy, she suddenly realized that she was staying in Pegasus Bridge (otherwise known as Ouisterham)! She is an avid reader of history (the stories of world events) and biography (the stories of the men and women who made those events happen). She is very happy to own a painting by Molly Lamb Boback, the first woman to be sent overseas in WWII as a Canadian war artist.

The Memory Project includes a community of over 1,500 veterans and Canadian Forces members who are committed to sharing their stories of service.
