I had the pleasure to serve as a combat engineer for 13 years where I specialized in explosives as well as water treatment. The great Canadian Military Engineering family is full of extraordinary people who are used to find solutions to tough situations. I was deployed in Bosnia in 2004 as an engineer operations non-commissioned officer and as a section commander in Afghanistan in 2007-2008. Topics that inspire me are how combat engineers are able to better living conditions in Canada or overseas, the issue of landmines as well as how communities benefit from Reservists. I hope to meet you!
