I have almost 30 years of federal service in both Canadian military and policing environments. I started as a Royal Military College graduate in 1995 and then was employed an infantry officer with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. I joined the RCMP in 1997, and over the course of a twenty three year career, have gained experience in general duty police service, tactical operations and fraud investigations. I have experience in major domestic operations and I am currently the senior critical incident commander for Nova Scotia. I have the honour of having served a year in Afghanistan as a police advisor deployed near Kandahar City with two different Battle Groups (2007/2008). I am currently the Training and Staffing officer (Inspector) for the RCMP in Nova Scotia. Whilst maintaining a very busy RCMP career and family life, I am also an infantry officer with the Canadian Forces Infantry Reserves and hold the rank of Lieutenant Colonel as Commanding Officer of the Princess Louise Fusiliers. I am comfortable speaking to all age groups on any topics regarding national and international service, as well as on subjects within the military or police environments.

The Memory Project includes a community of over 1,500 veterans and Canadian Forces members who are committed to sharing their stories of service.
