I am a 19-year serving retired veteran of the RCN and RCAF. I am fully bilingual and bring an interesting perspective of my own NATO and Maritime missions as well as my father's Second World War Merchant Navy Service.

I served in both the Air Force Reserve at 400 SQN in Toronto in their Transport section from 1991-1994 and then with the Regular Force Royal Canadian Navy from 2000-2015.

I was a NESOP, retiring as a Fire Control Supervisor and sailed on numerous destroyers and frigates on both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

My tour highlights included a NATO deployment just before September 11th and a Maritime Interdiction (Op. Poseidon), where we intercepted a ship full of suspected Tamil Tigers in the fall of '09.

I did a lot of support work for Afghanistan and the 2010 Olympics (Op. Podium), from MARPAC HQ.

The Memory Project includes a community of over 1,500 veterans and Canadian Forces members who are committed to sharing their stories of service.
