RCAF, Army
I was a military officer from 1961 until 1996, beginning as an Infantry 2nd Lieutenant, then transferring to the Armoured Corps, First Hussars (tanks) for 4 years while attending Western University and then transferring to the RCAF where I served as a fighter pilot for 21 years, and then transferring back to the Army (30 Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery in Ottawa) for 4 years and finally called back to the Air Force for 5 years as a helicopter pilot and staff officer with 1 (Air Reserve) Wing in Montreal. I have always been an avid military history student and an active shooter and weapons collector -and remain so. I have also always been a teacher in one form or another -even taught Ontario Grade 13 night school in Germany for 3 years while stationed with the Air Force flying Starfighters in Baden. I am happy to speak on pretty much any military subject -Vimy. D Day, Battle of Britain, Gulf War or pretty much anything else required because I enjoy preparing myself to teach anything required. Preparation is everything! I do my homework. I relate well to children and adults and am the CBCs radio and television aviation expert -just Google Jock Williams or Jock Williams Yogi 13. I look forward to hearing from you! Jock
