<p>Lieutenant (Navy) Rebecca Garnham enrolled in the Naval Reserves at HMCS Prevost in London, Ontario in 2009 while studying at Huron University College. In the spring of 2012, she graduated with a B.A. Hon Degree in English Literature and Language. Later that year, she completed her military trades training at NOTC Venture in Esquimalt, BC. From 2013 through to 2015, Lt(N) Garnham was stationed in Halifax, NS as the Deck Officer onboard HMC Ships GLACE BAY and MONCTON. In summer 2015, she was posted to Calgary's Naval Reserve Division, HMCS TECUMSEH, as the Training Officer. Lt(N) Garnham is currently employed at Maritime Forces Pacific Headquarters in Esquimalt, BC, and enjoys exploring Vancouver Island with her husband, Mark. Lt(N) Garnham follows in the footsteps of her father who served in the British Army and who now serves in the Canadian Army Reserve, and her grandfathers who served in the Royal Air Force and British merchant navy. Lt(N) Garnham enjoys speaking about the history of women in the CAF, and her experiences in the Royal Canadian Navy.</p>
