May Gillman. I was born in Montreal. I was behind the desk and the address was Harold Store, London, England, and we looked after the … if someone escaped from Germany, we looked after them. These sort of people, like me, in uniform and I looked after back pays for them. We went to the restaurant and all of a sudden, something flashed and I was buried with my friend, who was a… He was a flyer, young, and he had just completed his task. And we were celebrating and the next thing, bang, we didn’t hear a bang, we were just buried. The bomb, a buzz bomb, the first buzz bomb, we were… it fell in London, England on the outskirts. And we were three days buried. And British nurses… these kids were so lucky. Then they sent us to the Canadian hospital.
