Lieutenant-Colonel Holly Apostoliuk has served in the Canadian Armed Forces since 1993 - more than 25 years. She communicates extensively regarding military operations, and inspirationally on issues of mental health, suicide, sexual misconduct, gender, and family support. Holly has served twice in the Balkans and twice in Afghanistan, as well as with the Disaster Assistance Response Team to Pakistan. While in Canada, LCol Apostoliuk has served the Canadian Army, the Royal Canadian Air Force, NORAD, Military Personnel Command, and the Strategic Joint Staff. She has also served as a national media liaison officer, instructor, and as the public affairs officer to the Chief of the Defence Staff. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Defence Studies, and was inducted as an Officer into the Order of Military Merit by Canada’s Governor General in 2017. She is currently a senior public affairs officer and an advisor regarding strategic communications.
