I served in the CF and RCAF for 43 years and retired as a Maj in 2014. I served for four years with NORAD HQ in Colorado Springs, CO and four years with the NATO AWACS in Geilenkirchen, Germany. I also served in Kabul, Afghanistan from Feb-Aug 2005. While in Germany, I toured extensively the battlefields of the Somme, Ypres, Normandy, Dieppe and the Netherlands. I like to use my experience of these battlefield tours to remind the audience of the terrible cost of war.
