I joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2007 as an AVN Technician. My first posting was to Trenton, ON (home of the Highway of Heroes). In Trenton, I worked at 8 Air Maintenance Squadron and then at 424 Squadron Search and Rescue (Rescue!). I have a total of 190 days deployed with Joint Task Force Afghanistan working with the Tactical Airlift Unit as a Propulsion Systems Technician. I have also had the privileged of participation in many SAR exercises and I was fortunate to be chosen to attend Op HUSKY (Op SICILY) in 2013 honouring the men who fought and died in 1943. The list goes on and on; the CAF has provided me with so many wonderful and life shaping experiences. Currently, I am living in Oakfield, NS with my spouse and two dogs. I work at 12 Wing Shearwater on the Cyclone helicopter. I am open to discuss many topics; Women in Aviation, Women in Male Dominated Roles, Afghanistan/ Camp Mirage, Military Life in General, etc...
